Important Pre-Election Information

Precinct19-15 has three important answers to questions our team has encountered when engaging with residents in the neighborhoods:
1) When does early voting begin in Wake County?
2) What locations and times are available for early voting?
3) What restrictions govern political yard signs?
1. The all-inclusive early voting dates in Wake County are October 17 - November 2, 2024. Reference the following: https://www.wake.gov/departments-government/board-elections/election-information/early-voting
2. There are 22 separate early voting locations throughout Wake County. The one location closest to our precinct in Wakefield is located in Wake Forest at the Northern Regional Center, 350 East Holding Avenue. However, one of the many other locations listed on the website may be closer to where you work. Reference the following: https://www.wake.gov/departments-government/board-elections/election-information/early-voting
3. A quick check with the Wakefield Plantation HOA regarding political yard signs pointed me to a North Carolina law written specifically for this election issue. According to the law, political yard signs are allowed 30 days prior to an election, which includes the early voting period, and must be removed not later than ten days after the election. Relating this law to the general election on November 5, 2024, political yard signs may be displayed from Tuesday, September 17th through Friday, November 15, 2024. The Wakefield Plantation HOA has no authority to modify or override the law. Reference the following: https://raleighnc.gov/planning/services/political-sign-regulations#:~:text=North%20Carolina%20Law,-The%20General%20Assembly&text=Signs%20are%20permitted%20during%20the,the%20primary%20or%20election%20day.
Between now and the general election, the Precinct19-15 team will be disseminating to voters all the information we can. The TrumpForce47 Campaign is encouraging voters to take advantage of early voting to assist with efforts to make Trump’s win “too big to rig!” Regardless of whether you chose to vote early or to cast your ballot on election day, your vote is important!
Absentee ballot voting will be covered in an upcoming post.
